Yes. Current regulatory guidelines allow us to offer the convenience of telehealth visits, and many patients enjoy using this service. While we do routinely follow urine screens, this option is frequently chosen by our maintenance patients and often allows less travel and less impact on work and daily responsibilities.

One thing to keep in mind: long-acting injectable prescriptions do require provider administration in the office.

For our Cullman-based patients, we share office space with Brandy Drake, the owner and operator of First Step Behavioral Health. Brandy is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and also holds Alcohol & Drug Counselor (ADC) certification.

While we do not have in-house counselors at our Birmingham / Hoover location, we can assist in arranging access to several local alternatives. Some clients, especially early into their recovery, find these resources particularly helpful and a good complement to the medically based care they receive from us.

Twelve-step programs and faith-based resources such as Celebrate Recovery circles can also be advantageous.

We understand the chronic nature of the disease process, and that the struggle can be persistent. Relapse, setbacks or slip-ups can be a part of one’s journey.

Regardless of where you find yourself, we stand ready to assist you and help you get back on track. We believe in open conversations, in a space reserved to be your coach, your accountability partner, and your trusted advocate.

Synthesis patients are seen in our office-based settings and find confidence in our approach to discreet care. We are sensitive to the stigma that is still too commonly attached to addiction. Confidentiality, privacy and HIPAA compliance are a priority.

In fact, we intentionally function as a wellness practice, with no reference to “recovery” in our name.

For many years, services such as in-patient facilities, detox centers and highly regulated methadone-based programs prevailed. While we recognize the roles those options serve, we offer the advantages and benefits of an office-based opioid treatment model.

We believe buprenorphine offers an overall safer medication-assisted regimen with greater flexibility. This approach allows for scheduled appointments and a more private atmosphere, and minimizes the impact on meeting the demands of your life, job, school, or other responsibilities.

You are not alone.

That first phone call is a brave and pivotal step. If we are assisting another client, leave a message and we will call you back.
